Off-Campus Access to Information
Which Falvey Memorial Library Information Resources Are Accessible to Anyone?
Anyone with an Internet connection can reach
Falvey Memorial Library's homepage, from an off-campus site, to
search
VUCat, the library's online catalog, as well as other
Libraries and Universities catalogs, and the many World Wide Web
search engines.
Which Falvey Information Resources Are Restricted to Villanova Students, Faculty, and Staff?
Due to licensing restrictions, only Villanova
students, faculty and staff can connect from an off-campus site to
databases such as Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe, the Britannica
Online, JSTOR, and other paid databases indicated by an * on the
database list.
How Do Villanova Students, Faculty, and Staff Access These Resources from Off-Campus?
We’ve made it easier for you to access Falvey's databases and e-journals from
off-campus by using the EZproxy server. Just follow the
instructions below.
We recommend you first disable the existing proxy configuration
set in browser. Please reboot workstation upon disabling
configuration.

First you must
have the cookies enabled in your browser.
Choose your browser from the list below, and set the browser to
accept cookies.

Netscape
7.x:
Click on EDIT > PREFERENCES>
PRIVACY & SECURITY (click on arrow to open a menu). Select COOKIES,
then choose: ENABLE ALL COOKIES.

Internet Explorer 6.x:
Click on TOOLS >
INTERNET OPTIONS> PRIVACY. Set the privacy slider to Medium or
lower. Select ADVANCED for additional cookie control.

Internet Explorer 5.x:
Click on TOOLS >
INTERNET OPTIONS> SECURITY, Select the INTERNET icon and then CUSTOM
LEVEL. Under COOKIES, select ENABLE.
