Joseph P. Lucia

University Librarian and Director of Falvey Memorial Library

Joseph P. Lucia is University Librarian and Director of Falvey Memorial Library at Villanova University. He is a founding member of the Lyrasis Board of Trustees, serving from 2009 to 2012 and also as president from 2009-2010.

He speaks frequently at library professional association meetings and conferences on the forces affecting the evolution of libraries in all their forms and on the future of library technology infrastructure.

Prior to assuming his post at Villanova University in 2002, Lucia served as Director for Library Technology & Access Services within the Information Resources organization at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Lucia holds an MLS from Syracuse University, an MA in English from the University of Toronto and a BA from McGill University in Montreal.
