Event Description:

Please join us in room 205 of Falvey Memorial Library on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 4:00 p.m. for the annual Black History Month lecture featuring Erica Armstrong Dunbar, PhD, associate professor of history, University of Delaware.  Her talk is titled, "Never Caught: The President's Runaway Slave."  In this talk, Dr. Dunbar will describe the life of Oney Judge, a black woman who was once the slave of George and Martha Washington but managed to break away to her freedom.

This event, co-sponsored by the Africana Studies Program and Falvey Memorial Library, is free and open to the public.
