Event Description:

In celebration of Hispanic Cultural Heritage Month, please join Carmen Peraita, PhD, professor of early modern cultural history and literature in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures in room 205 of Falvey Memorial Library on Monday, Oct. 1 at 1:00 p.m. as she presents a talk titled “Early Modern Multimedia from Valencia to Cuzco.” The talk will be focused on what can be considered “multimedia spectacles” in the early modern world, the perception of new ways of publishing and circulating information, and more specifically on “ceremonies of publication,” and what it entailed in Spain and the New World. This event, co-sponsored by Falvey Memorial Library and the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, is free and open to the public.
