Nova Feis: Film Screening of Kings

Event Description:

Students, faculty, and staff are cordially invited attend a film screening of Kings. This film explores the dark side of the emigrant experience, that of those who have failed to make good in the so-called promised land. This is part of a semester-long Irish film series on behalf of the program.

This event is part of a weeklong series of events in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, presented by the Irish Studies Program in conjunction with Falvey Memorial Library. More events are listed below.

Wednesday, March 19
4:30 p.m. – Film screening of an Eamonn Wall, PhD, documentary with discussion of Irish writing in America led by Daniel Tobin, PhD, professor of writing, literature and
publishing at Emerson College. (Speakers’ Corner, Falvey Memorial Library)

Thursday, March 20
5:30 p.m. – Villanova Dance Team open workshop and discussion (Speakers’ Corner, Falvey Memorial Library.

Friday, March 21
3:00-4:00 p.m. – Flag Gaelic football (Tolentine Field)

These events, co-sponsored by the Irish Studies Program and Falvey Memorial Library, are free and open to the public.
