Event Description:

Villanova University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Falvey Memorial Library will be presenting a series of conversations inspired by Pope Francis' apostolic exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium. On Wednesday, Apr. 9 at 6:00 p.m. in Falvey’s Speakers’ Corner we will be having our final discussion. We will explore the theme "I prefer a Church which is bruised, hurting and dirty" (Pope Francis, The Joy of the Gospel). In this discussion, we will discuss what the roles of the Church are in the world today, what new paths it is forging and what it means for the Church to be poor and evangelical.

This event, co-sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Falvey Memorial Library, is free and open to the public.
