Please join us in Speakers’ Corner of Falvey Memorial Library on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m. as the University’s One Book Villanova author, Conor Grennan, visits campus for a book signing. His book, Little Princes: One Man’s Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal, was chosen to be the 2012-2013 One Book Villanova selection for the University Community.
Little Princes: One Man’s Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal is a true story that details the author’s trip to Nepal as a volunteer at the Little Princes orphanage. After working at the orphanage, learning about the children and witnessing the social and political climate in Nepal, Grennan discovers that the children are not orphans at all. They are, in fact, victims of human trafficking. Once Grennan is confronted with the truth about the children, he vows to do whatever it takes to reunite them with their parents. Readers follow Grennan on his journey and experience his challenges and successes along the way.
Following the book signing, Grennan will participate in various other activities throughout the day, including the following:
2:30-4:00 p.m.—private group discussion with selected students in Falvey’s Speakers’ Corner
6:00-7:00 p.m.—community dinner in the Connelly Center
7:30-9:00 p.m.—community talk and book signing in the Connelly Center’s Villanova Room (open to the public)
The event, co-sponsored by the One Book Villanova Committee and Falvey Memorial Library, is free and open to the public.
