Please join us in room 204 of Falvey Memorial Library on Monday, March 10, at 1:30 p.m. for a Scholarship@Villanova/Outstanding Faculty Research Award Lecture featuring C. Nataraj, PhD, Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Moritz, Sr., Endowed Chair Professor in Engineered Systems at Villanova University. Dr. Nataraj’s talk, titled “Dynamic Systems: The Science of Machinery, Robots, Medical Diagnostics and Autonomy,” will describe the research that led him to win the prestigious Outstanding Faculty Research Award.
More specifically, Dr. Nataraj’s talk will give an overview of modeling, analysis and control of dynamic systems. This is a very broad area with applications in diverse areas such as engineering, science, economics, biology, etc. Dr. Nataraj will also discuss some interesting results from his research wanderings which will focus on the areas of machinery, robotics and medicine. In addition, the talk will highlight applications without getting into the mathematical intricacies in order to make it comprehensible to a broad audience.
This event, co-sponsored by Falvey Memorial Library and the College of Engineering, is free and open to the public.
