Where would I go to see the recent books and journal articles with topics related to English as a Second Language Education K-12 in the U.S. I went to Google Scholar but was not successful?

Answer

  1. Here is a good search strategy to use to find articles on your topic. In many cases the full text of the article is available or you can get the article through Falvey. Start at the library home page. Click on Subject Guides on the left hand column. Select Education and HR. Select the database called Education Full Text. You may be asked to login with your user name and password. You will see several boxes to fill in. In the first box, type in English as a second language and change All Smart Search to Subject with the drop down menu. On the second line, fill in that box with kindergarten or elementary or secondary or high school (in just that way) and change All Smart Search to Subject with the drop down menu. Click Start. The articles that come up are all about English as a second language with any of the other key phrases as their subject. In some cases, the full text of the article is there as a pdf image. Otherwise, click on the Find It image to link to the articles. Try these steps and let me know if you have questions
