Find a Book in the Library

Answer

  1. Answer by: Dierkes, Gerald

Use Falvey's catalog to find books, journal titles and other materials that library physically owns, such as videos, CDs, microform.

Once you locate an item in the library catalog, its item record will show you—

    • the item’s location (its call number and “Find on map” link indicate location)
    • whether the item is on the shelf (interpreted as not checked out)
    • which years of a journal / newspaper the library physically owns

Locate Books in our library's main stacks using Library of Congress call numbers.

    Search

    • Searching Tips
    • Audiobooks:
A keyword search for VUaudio will find all the audiobooks owned by the library.
A keyword search for LSVAudio finds the audiobooks that are available in the library on a temporary basis.
