How Do I: Get a Book or Journal / Newspaper Article We Do Not Own

Please check VUCat, Falvey's online catalog, to determine if the library owns a particular book, journal title, or other type of material.

If the material is not available in Falvey, there are 2 ways to request an item:

E-ZBorrow:

    1.    For books only, use E-ZBorrow (average turnaround is 4 - 5 days)

Interlibrary Loan:  

    2.    Use ILLiad when Requesting a Book/Journal Article from another Library

To help speed the processing of your requests, please be sure to complete the "Not Needed After" field of the Interlibrary Loan Form.

Due to the volume of requests received, the Interlibrary Loan Office requests that the following limits be adhered to:

• undergraduates are permitted 5 requests per day
• graduate students are permitted 10 requests per day
• faculty are permitted 10 requests per day or discuss research needs with ILL staff

Requests submitted in excess of suggested limits will be processed as time allows.
