Sleuthing Potential Data Sources
Literature Review
Looking at data used by researchers that have gone before you is a great way to identify potential data sources. Data cited in the bibliographies or described in the methods sections of research articles may be the first step to publically available data. Use recommended scholarly article databases to find articles by topic. Pay close attention to data sources described. Google the data source name to see if it is freely available on the web or search the library web site to see if Villanova suscribes. If you do no find the data sources, check with the Business Librarian.
