Brief Biographies

• Lexis/Nexis Academic The people tab aggregates biographical sources such as the Washington Post and New York Times biographical stories, S&P, ICC and Martindale Hubbell directories.

• ReferenceUSA International module search provides access to Reuters biographies of business professionals.

• Mergent Executive tab provides access to brief biographies of officers and directors of U.S. and foreign publically traded firms.

• Marquis Who's Who The Business & Finance and Emerging Leaders components may be particularly usefull.

Executive Compensation

• Proxy Statements Are filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  They include compensation data for highest paid executives.  To find the an individuals compensation you first have to know what company they work for.  Proxy's are DEF 14A's.

• ReferenceUSA

• MarketInsight (S&P) The Executive Compensation database that includes compensation for officers and directors of U.S. companies and their peers can only be accessed by company, not executive name.

• Mergent Search for U.S. and foreign executives in a wide variety of ways and get compensation as reported in proxies.

• Catalog  Find out if any books have been written about your favorite business titan.

• Biography Resource Center

• ABI/Inform  Do a search in the Advanced tab and use the drop down menu to search for articles about "person" to find articles about people.

• Business Source Premier Search the "people" field in the drop down menu to find articles about people.

• Biographies Plus Illustrated Feature length biographies with images and links to recent news articles
