The USGS undertakes scientific research, monitoring, remote sensing, modeling, synthesis, and forecasting to address the effects of climate and land use change on the Nation’s resources.  This site describes the climate and land use change programs of USGS, such as carbon sequestration, Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS), Geographic Analysis and Monitoring (GAM), Land Remote Sensing, National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center and the Global Change Research and Development Program.
