Reading Skills

News Sources

Practice your reading skills with Falvey's news collection.  Current newspapers and magaizines are kept on the first floor of the library, toward the back of the first floor.

Leisure Reading

The library also offers leisure reading books for your enjoyment.  These are located on the first floor of the library, between the scanners and printers.  There are also popular reading materials specific to business topics at the Bartley Business Information Center.

A tip for improving your presentation skills is to listen to, or watch yourself, giving the presentation.  Jing is a freely available program that allows you to record screencasts and video presentations up to 5 minutes in length.

Other Resources

Falvey Library has a collection of movies on VHS and DVD.  Many DVDs can be taken out of the library, and VHS tapes can be watched in the library.  Check out this list of great American films that Falvey owns, or movies filmed in or related to the Philadelphia region.
