Beins (Ithaca College) has extensive experience in psychology research, and in this concise, information-packed volume he passes on his wisdom. The book is designed for those who have basic research skills and are now undertaking a psychology research project. Writing in a clear, easy-to-understand style, Beins leads the reader through each step of the research process. Offering solid practical advice, he takes as his starting point developing the research idea and then moves to conducting preliminary research and then to methodology, the ethical implications in the process, presenting results, and conclusion. How to write the report in APA style is covered, and Beins makes suggestions regarding use of tables, charts, and graphs. Extensive index, references, and appendix material are included. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Upper-division undergraduates and graduate students. J. Bailey Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute
