Item Description:	South polar view map originally published by H. Hondius in 1642. Hemispherical map centred on the South Pole to the Tropic of Capricorn, includes part of Australian coastline. Relief shown pictorially. Corners are filled with native scenes, including animals, birds and boats. On verso: Le Pole Antarctique, avec les regions qui sont sous ice-lui, & les mers qui le baignent.
