The publican's lawyer being a plain and easy explantion of all the laws now in force concerning innkeepers, victuallers, and publicans of every class: including the laws relating to the licensing of publicans, and pointing out the methods of redress when licenses are unfairly withheld from them by Justices, from partiality, malice, or political motives. The Acts of Parliament relating to the billeting of soldiers; together with that which passed the 19th of May, 1795, for the relief of publicans; and directions for procceding against parish officers for partiality in billetting soldiers; also the Act for estabiishing benefit clubs and societies at public houses; the laws concerning gaming, &c. down to 1797.
