Frequently Asked Questions

Masks are not required but are recommended for everyone—regardless of vaccination status. Faculty may require students to wear masks when inside classrooms. Food is permitted in Holy Grounds. Group Study Rooms are unavailable for use.

Hours and Services

  • The Library building is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to accommodate individual study, book pickup, and classroom access. A Wildcard is required for entry after 8 p.m. Hours are subject to change. Click here to view Service and Building Access Calendar.
  • Physical materials from the Library are available for both in-person browsing/borrowing and for our Pick Up & Go service. Please follow instructions on the Pick Up & Go page to place holds.
  • Scanning services are available for physical items in the Falvey collection.
  • Access online collections and the Distinctive Collections: Digital Library.
  • The E-ZBorrow service can be used to request books from other libraries.
  • Request articles, e-books, books, DVDs, CDs, microfilm, and other materials from Interlibrary Loan.
  • Reference services available through during business hours.
  • Group Study Rooms are unavailable for use.

Loans and borrowing

  • The Library has stopped assessing overdue fines on Falvey materials.
  • The E-ZBorrow and ILLiad services can be used to request books and DVDs from other libraries.
  • Due dates for interlibrary loan (ILL) books vary and are imposed by the lending library. Email for questions about ILL loans. 


  • Books can be returned 24/7 at the outdoor book drop or inside the main entrance.
