Welcome to Journals at Villanova University, a service provided by Falvey Library.  This service is intended for both Villanova faculty and Falvey Library partners wishing to publish an online open-access journal using the Open Journal Systems (OJS), by the Public Knowledge Project.

The following journals are currently being hosted at Villanova University:

An interdisciplinary journal of Graduate Studies sponsored by the Graduate Division of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Villanova University.

Expositions: Interdisciplinary Studeies in the Humanities. An online journal where scholars from multiple disciplines gather as colleagues to converse about common texts and questions in the humanities.

Journal of Catholic Higher Education. The peer-reviewed semiannual journal of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities.

American Catholic Studies. Publishing high quality studies and reviews in the areas of U.S. Roman Catholic history, sociology, theology, architecture, art, cinema, music, and popular movements.

Praxis. Publishes issues containing peer-peer-reviewed papers initiated at the annual Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium, held at Villanova University.

Journal of Big History. Publishing articles that develop our understanding of the integrated history of the Cosmos, Earth, Life, and Humanity, using the best available empirical evidence and scholarly methods.

Veritas: Villanova Research Journal. The first peer-reviewed undergraduate research journal at Villanova University, promoting investigation and discovery, the peer review process, and the work of Villanova students and their faculty mentors.

Ugegbe: Jọnalụ Ụwandịigbo is the first journal written solely in the Igbo language, containing essays from scholars hailing from all over the world.

 

OJS supports all aspects of scholarly journal publishing including content tracking, peer review, subscription management, copy editing, and reading tools.  As well, OJS assists with every stage of the refereed publishing process, from submissions through to online publication and indexing.
