What we do
Collections of Distinction - Villanova University’s Falvey Library is noted for having significant collections of materials of rarity and value, organized into three broad set of material categories - Special Collections (physical collections not directly created by Villanova community members), University Archives (physical and born-digital material created by Villanova University) and the Digital Library (public access portal to digital content from Special Collections, University Archives, and Digital Partner collections).
Stewardship - Many distinctive materials are rare or unique, and most require special handling procedures and preservation techniques.
Digital Engagement - Staff work with faculty, students, community members, and regional partners to select and develop tools that enhance access to a wide range of resources for specific disciplines and audiences.
