You may renew your Main Stacks library books twice, either online, by telephone, or in person at the library on or before the due date. No renewals are permitted on Group Study Rooms, Reserve, and Media materials. One renewal is permitted on Popular Reading books, Laptops, Laptop parts, and Audio Books.

All library material types are subject to recall by another library patron or department. A recall will shorten your loan period and a notice will be sent to notify you of the adjustment to your due date. Failure to comply with a recall may result in a suspension of library privileges

Exceptions, Borrowing Limits, and Fines/Fees
You may borrow up to 50 Main Stacks books, 10 Reserve items, and 3 Mixed Media items. Daily overdue fines apply to all library loans. Lost item charges will be applied should materials become greater than 30 days overdue. Hourly overdue fines and lost item charges are also on laptops, laptop accessories, calculators, ethernet cables, group study room keys, and Reserve materials. Calculators can be borrowed for 3 hours and may be taken from the building for use in other university locations. Other limits may apply.

Lost item replacement charges range from $25.00 to $100.00, depending on the material type and shelf location. Once paid, lost item replacement charges are refundable up to one year from the date of payment. The library reserves the right to replace a title in question with a different title as dictated by the needs of the curriculum and the collection.

A lost book can be replaced by the patron with a brand new copy of the same title, edition, binding, and ISBN number.
