In 2017, John F. Smith, III, began donating his extensive collection of maps to Falvey Library. The John F. Smith, III and Susan B. Smith Antique Map Collection currently comprises 152 objects — primarily maps, but also including related non-cartographic works, including illustrations and books — with more donations expected.
