Looking to get started on a digital scholarship project but don’t know where to start? If you're new to digital scholarship or digital humanities and are interested in developing a digital project, please fill out the propose a project form or email us at digitalscholarship@villanova.edu.  

Step 2: Initial Project Consultation

Someone from the Digital Scholarship Lab will be in touch with you to schedule an initial consultation with you to exchange ideas and discuss what you have in mind for your project.  Developing a digital scholarship project is a multifaceted process. There are many factors to consider such as content selection, timeline, financial planning, copyright research, digitization, and technical options for storage, discovery, and access. When you first start developing a digital project, it is important to define your core goals in order to identify the viability, scope, and constraints of your project.

Step 3: Project Planning

During your initial consultation, we will go over a digital project planning form with an extensive checklist and questionnaire for you to consider filling out when starting your digital project. We encourage you to review our sustainability and hosting agreement and the sunsetting and archiving strategies document if you would like to partner with Falvey Memorial Library on the development and web hosting of your project. We provide digital project planning consultations as part of Falvey’s Digital Scholarship services.
