Please join us in Room 205 of Falvey Memorial Library on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 12:00 p.m. for a Scholarship@Villanova lecture featuring Timothy McCall, PhD, assistant professor of Art History. His talk, "Buttons forming Bodies: Princely Fashion in Early Renaissance Italy,” will reveal historical fashion’s connections to modern fashion and to our ideas about clothes and our own bodies. Dr. McCall will use these connections to make the topic accessible for people who aren’t necessarily historians of Renaissance Italy. His research is a part of his larger book project, Brilliant Bodies: Men at Court in Early Renaissance Italy. The event, co-sponsored by Falvey Memorial Library and the Department of History/Art History program, is free and open to the public.
