    How can I search Fraser's Magazine in the British Periodicals collection database for the months Jan, 1847 to July, 1848?

    1. From the library home page, go to Databases A-Z.
    2. Select British Periodicals Collection.
    3. Using the drop down menu at the right end of the first box, select Journal title – PUB.
    4. Fill in the box with the title of the magazine or journal: fraser’s  (your selection should display when you start typing). Highlight fraser’s magazine.
    5. Limit your search to a range of dates: Go down to Date range and, using the drop down menu, select Specific date range. Fill in the appropriate month, days (1 or 30) and years.
    6. At the bottom of the screen, select the sort type you prefer: Change Relevance to Date, oldest first.
    7. Search – Your results should be those articles published in Fraser’s by month for the months and years you chose.
