  • EconLit Citation database for articles, working papers, dissertations, books and articles in collective works going back 30 years.  Published by the American Economic Association this is a must use tool for literature reviews.  Searchable by keyword or Journal of Economic Literature classification code.  Don't forget to add a 0 to the codes when searching in EconLit.
  • Agricola Citation database for economic aspects of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, animal husbandry and related disciplines from the National Agricultural Library.
  • ABI/Inform Full text and abstracts of scholary and news articles on business and economics topics.
  • Business Source Premier Full text and abstracts of scholarly and professional articles on business and economics topics.
  • Business Full Text Full text and abstracts of business and economics articles.
  • RePEc (IDEAS)Research papers in economics is a collaborative international effort to disseminate research in economics.  Provides free access to working papers, journal articles and software.
  • Social Science Citation Index Bibliographic records and tool for uncovering the cited references to seminal journal articles.  Useful for learning about progeny or counter movements sparked by scholarship.

Check Databases by Subject to identify additional appropriate article databases.  For instance, if your topic relates to the economics of education, you will want to search ERIC, or if it concerns health care economics, you ought to search MedLine.
