Finding News & Analysis on Market Entry Successes & Failures

To find case studies on successful or failed market entry strategies search the business article databases, ABI Inform, Business Source Permier and Business Abstracts with Full Text.  Expect to wade through a fair number of articles to find actionable information.  Remember scholarly articles are likely to provide an indepth examination whereas trade and professional publications are usually more new requireing more synthesis on your part.  If you have the good fortune to find a scholarly case study you may not need to scan all the trade and professional news.  I recommend using the following words and phrases in the subject field:

Market entry, market penetration, export marketing, licensing, franchising, joint venture, strategic alliances, partnership (business)

Combine the terms with the AND operator  and type your target market in the geographic or location field.

If you don't find any suitable articles on market entry try export marketing or joint ventures or strategic alliances.  One search is not likely to do the trick.

Sample search limited to scholarly journals in Business Source Premier

Similar search not limited to scholarly articles in ABI Inform
