Are you still looking for a building for your project? Come to the library and browse the architecture collection on the third floor for inspiration. Find the NA680 call number range and start browsing. You will find books such as Contemporary World Architecture, Urban Design & Architecture: The 20th Century, Icons of American Architecture, Architecture in the United States, the Encyclopedia of American Architecture, and the Source Book of American Architecture.

Alternatively, try out some simple keyword searches in the Gale Virtual Reference Center. Enter name of buildings, architects or architectural styles and movements.

Biographies

American National Biography Online (Oxford)
Biographical resource on more than 18,000 people from all eras who have influenced and shaped American history and culture.

Oxford Dictionary of National Biography
50,000 signed biographies of individuals who shaped all aspects of the British past, from the earliest times to the end of the year 2000.

American Architects and Buildings
Building histories, biographies of architects, elevation drawings, and more. The database can be searched by location, architect and building. Access to high resolution drawings and images is limited to subscribers and will not be available to Villanova students.

The 17th edition of the Manual is the most current. The online version includes a Citation Quick Guide. Access to the 16th edition is also available.
