Proxy Borrowing: Borrowing books for faculty is fairly straight forward, but there are some important things to keep in mind. In order for Graduate Assistants to be able to borrow books on faculty's behalf faculty must first submit this form.
DO NOT borrow books for faculty unless you have been listed as a proxy borrower, if you check them out to your personal account and they are not returned in time by your faculty you will be responsible for them.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL): If the book a faculty member wants needs to be borrowed from another library through ILL, they must place the request themselves. GAs may pick up ILLed books for faculty, but cannot initiate the request. Again if a you initiate the ILL request you are responsible for the book being returned on time. For more information on Interlibrary Loan please see our ILL information page.
Borrowing Policies: For further information on library borrowing including loan period, renewals, and fines please see our borrowing policies page.
