Finding Books at Falvey
Use the library's catalog to find books in Falvey's local collection. If you enter a search from the search bar on the library's website, you'll see three columns of results. Click on the column labeled "Books & Media" to see books and e-books held by the library, and to reveal additional search filters.
You can also use our Advanced Search page to enter more specific search criteria.
Books in the library are organized by Library of Congress call numbers. Record pages for each book will include a map showing its location in the library, or a link to access it electronically.
Finding Books at Other Libraries
It's easy to search for and request books not held on-site at Falvey through one of our interlibrary loan services. The best way to find them is to search WorldCat, a large database of library collections in our region and around the world:
WorldCat (OCLC)
WorldCat is a catalog of library collections worldwide. WorldCat highlights publications available at Villanova University. Other items can be requested via an inter-library loan request form.
Limit your search to "Books" to avoid results containing other material types. Books already available at Falvey will appear with a green VILLANOVA UNIV tag next to them. To request a book we don't have, click the blue
button and log in to the ILLIAD system.
Books from other libraries will also appear in the right-hand column after running a search on the library's website. Click to request books from those results as well.
