Falvey Library offers scanning services for physical library items in our collection.

Request scans

To request a scan from a physical item in Falvey’s collection, please submit an ILLiad request here.

Patrons may also continue to use the ILLiad service to request electronic copies of articles from other library collections as well. You may request ebooks, but we cannot guarantee that the title you need will be available in ebook format. If the requested ebook is unavailable, you may be asked if there are specific chapters that are needed instead. Other types of materials cannot be requested at this time.

Interlibrary loan services are free of charge and are only available to current Villanova students, faculty, and staff.

If you have questions, please contact ill@villanova.edu for assistance.

Course reserve scans

For Faculty

To request scans of physical materials for Course Reserves, please complete the Course Reserves Request Form. Scanned material can be uploaded to your Blackboard course.

Visit the Faculty Guidelines for Course Reserves page and the Copyright & Fair Use page for more information.

For students

If the Course Reserve items you need are only available as print books, you can request a scan of a single chapter or range of page numbers through ILLiad.

  1. Search the list of Course Reserves or the Falvey Library Catalog
  2. Click the book title, then click Request a Partial Scan near the bottom of the page.
  3. You will be redirected to ILLiad Document Delivery. Complete the Article/Chapter request form and submit. You will be notified via email when your scans are available.

Note: Entire books cannot be scanned due to staffing limitations and copyright restrictions. Your scanned material will be delivered electronically within 2-3 business days.
